Cathy believes that the right to own real estate is one of the greatest freedoms that we enjoy in this country.  Her mission is to create opportunities for people to reside in homes that support and facilitate their lifestyle choices while building wealth and security.

Education and Training

Cathy graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor's degree in Education, specializing in early childhood development and the primary grades.  Upon moving to Colorado, she completed her Real Estate training at the University of Colorado, Boulder.  As an active proponent of professionalism and continuing education for those in the Real Estate business, Cathy began early in her career to earn the designations that indicate and promote excellence and experience.

Designations

Graduate, Real Estate Institute (GRI), 1991, is achieved through intense coursework on the topics of appraisal, international real estate, legal issues and risk, marketing, environmental issues, ethics, finance, technology tools, contracts, fair housing and diversity, investment management and negotiation.

Certified Residential Specialist, (CRS), 1997, a designation attained by only 3% of the Realtors in the United States that is earned through coursework and experience demonstated by transaction experience.

Master Certified Negotiation Expert, (MCNE), 2015, included both coursework and practical training in Negotiation skills and techniques.

e-Pro Technology Internet Professional (e-PRO)

Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR)

Residential Construction Certified Training, (RCC), 2019, comprehensive training covering materials, methods, terminology, and details of residential construction.

Certified New Home Specialist, (CNHS), 2019, training designed to empower real estate professionals to work successfully with builders, developers, and new home buyers.

Areas of Expertise

With over 33 years of experience working as a full-time real estate broker, Cathy has experienced many conditions of the real estate market over that time, requiring that she be quick to adapt and educate herself as the market changes and evolves.  Her experience ranges from assisting buyers in purchasing their first home to helping people navigate the sale of their home and purchasing a replacement home that best serves their changing needs.  Owing to her rural upbringing, Cathy has remained a country girl at heart and has developed expertise in marketing acreage and horse properties, raw land sales, and custom home building.  She began her career assisting Relocation buyers and sellers, who need an agent with a skill set specialized to correctly navigate the requirements of a Relocation program and has continued to serve those who are Relocating from the Denver area.  Cathy also enjoys the sales of new construction homes and her experience with new construction and builders make her an invaluable resource to assist the buyer with that process.

Communities  Served

Cathy's primary areas of service are Westminster, Broomfield, Thornton, Northglenn, Arvada, Brighton, Frederick, Firestone, and rural Adams and Weld Counties.  However, over the years, her highly diversified client base has offered opportunities for her to work in every city along the front range from Castle Rock to Fort Collins.
